Happy summer!!

We hope your wedding season is going well and look forward to seeing you at this month’s PUG on Wednesday July 27th- a casual cookout with no formal agenda except to catch up and relax! Please bring your families, a lawn game, your beverage of choice and a side dish or dessert. We’ll provide the burgers. Note the special time: 6-8p at Emilie and J’s house in Cumberland Foreside (please park on our side of the street, fyi). Please RSVP by Monday, July 25th.

Whew! Wedding season is off to a fantastic start! Take a break from editing this Wednesday night, June 15th, to come learn how you can get your website Google rankings up and your site’s overall aesthetic attractive to browsing brides and grooms. As usual, we’ll meet at 7p to chow at Em and J’s in Cumberland Foreside, and then J will take over starting at 7:30p to share his expertise of nearly five years working for liveBooks. Come with questions. Please RSVP for accurate headcount.

At our April PUG, meet Mary Jo Brown, publisher and creative director of Seacoast Bride Magazine and Melanie Brooks, editor of Real Maine Weddings Magazine for tips on what they are looking for and how to get your wedding images published. Keep their advice in mind this wedding season and we’ll be looking for your name in their next issues! Happy March Maine Photographers!

It’s almost Spring and clients will be coming! Time to brush up on those lighting skills! Join PUG on Wednesday, March 16th at 7pm at Beth’s Blush Imagery Photo Studio, 28 Maple Street, 3rd Floor, Portland, Maine. 207-899-5585. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Location lighting guru Brian Fitzgerald of Fitzgerald Photo will lead a full tutorial on balancing multiple lights and modifiers in the studio and on-location. Bring your camera, if you want to shoot along. Plus, a membership to the Maine Wedding Company for a year (a $275 value) will be given away as a door prize so bring your biz card! Open to all photographers.
